ANSP specialists participated in the RNCOL-2025 interdepartmental training on the response to radioactive, chemical and biological incidents
During October 15-17, 2025, the laboratories of the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) and regional public health centers participated in the annual interdepartmental training of the National Laboratory Observation and Control Network (RNCOL-2025). This year the RNCOL-2025 exercise took place under the title "The action algorithm of the laboratories of the national laboratory observation and control network for the detection of radioactive, chemical and bacteriological substances in the environment".
The exercise brought together 22 representatives of the institutions responsible for the supervision, control and response in case of CBRN incidents. The exercise was finished with a field simulation, where the ANSP specialists collaborated with the IGSU teams, the Environment Agency, the State Hydrometeorological Service and other authorities, testing the ability to intervene in case of chemical and radiological contamination.
During the exercise, practical capabilities were developed regarding the techniques of sampling, packaging, labeling and sending samples to the accredited laboratories of the national network, as well as the application of protection and decontamination measures. ANSP's participation in the RNCOL-2025 exercise strengthens the institutional capacity to respond to public health emergencies and public health events.
The current exercise is carried out within the Pandemic Fund project "Improving preparedness and response to pandemics by strengthening infrastructure, human resources, surveillance and advanced laboratory systems in the Republic of Moldova", thus contributing to the modernization and aligning the country to international standards in the field.
